What are the current requirements to visit Westside? Here are answers to frequently asked questions.

Does Westside offer drop-in admission?

Yes, the general public is welcome to visit Westside. Please note that specific facility areas such as the Aquatic Park have capacity limits; once capacity is reached, drop-in admission will not be available. Admission is granted on a first-come, first-served basis. Westside does not maintain waitlists for admission.

What will I need to access Westside?

To enter Westside or take part in activities or programs, all visitors must have a Signed Waiver and present photo ID. Parents must sign the waiver for their children under 18 years of age. 

How do I sign the waiver?

Waivers may be signed and submitted online at Westside Waiver. Waivers need only be signed once, a copy will be kept on file.

Where can I find information about specific facility times and activities?

The Fitness Centre is open at all times during our hours of operation. For all other areas, visit our online Facility Activities schedule for complete information. 

I've recently had Covid-19. How long must I wait to return to Westside?

The Government of Alberta requires that those who are fully vaccinated and have Covid-19 quarantine for at least 5 days after the onset of symptoms or until symptoms resolve, whichever is longer. After the isolation period, a face mask must be worn at all times when outside the home for an additional 5 days (minimum 10 days total).

At Westside, this means that for the five days following the quarantine period you MUST wear a face mask while engaging in physical activity/sports, while working out, and in the Aquatics area/pool. If you are unable to comfortably wear a mask during these activities, we ask that you refrain from visiting during this time.
