Welcome Back to Westside!

We’ve made some important changes so you’ll feel safe and secure when you visit.

Opening Thoughtfully, Safely

Your safety is our priority. Westside will open its facilities and programs in stages over the coming weeks.

At this time, Westside is open to reactivated annual and monthly pass holders only. Reservations ar no longer required. Face masks are required while entering and exiting, and in common areas during your visit; face masks are not required while participating in physical activity.

  • Workouts in the Fitness Centre
  • Adult Group Exercise Classes
  • Running Track
  • Youth Workouts
  • Gym time for Badminton, Basketball, Pickleball
  • Open Swimming with access to Main Pool, Tot Pool, Waterslide, Lazy River, Hot Tub
  • Steam Rooms
  • Lane Swimming
  • Aquatic Fitness Classes
  • Private/semi-private swim lessons can be booked online
  • Leisure Ice Arena
  • Hockey Arena Ice Rentals
  • Child Minding
  • Change Rooms, Showers
  • Skatepark
  • Personal Training

Temporarily suspended:

  • Public drop-in activities
  • Climbing
  • Food services

Reactivating your Pass

You can choose to reactivate your annual pass/membership, depending on your comfort level and which Westside facilities or programs are offered. Westside will only reactivate all passes when we are fully open and operational, expected in Fall 2021.

You will receive an email confirming your pass has been successfully reactivated.  Please allow up to 72 hours for Westside staff to process your request.

After Reactivation, Plan Your Visit

You must have reactivated your membership/pass and received an email confirmation that you are ready to visit.

Please note that Westside is reopening in phases while working to provide the safest and healthiest environment for our guests. Some areas and equipment may not be available at this time.

While you visit, face masks are required in common areas - entry/exit, hallways, change rooms, washrooms, on the pool deck. Face masks are not required during physical activity. Please ensure you are maintaining a respectful distance between yourself and others. We’re making sure to space our equipment and class participants appropriately.

Important Information for Your Visit

Health screening prior to your arrival is encouraged. Use Westside's Mobile Tool to see if it's safe for you to visit.

Please follow directional signage and one-way traffic patterns.

Working Together for a Successful Relaunch

If you answer “yes” to any of these questions, please do not visit Westside:

  • Do you or anyone in your household have signs of illness, including a fever, cough, shortness of breath, sore throat or runny nose?
  • Have you or anyone in your household had contact with a person suspected or diagnosed with COVID-19?

Protect yourself! Sanitize equipment BEFORE and AFTER use with the wipes provided. Fitness staff will also disinfect equipment regularly.

To ensure we’re as clean and healthy as we can be, Westside uses:

  • Industrial disinfecting machines 
  • Gold standard disinfecting products
  • Focused cleaning strategies, particularly in high-touch areas
  • Plexiglass barriers at Customer Service

What’s Not Available Yet:

  • Public drop-in times
  • Any equipment or spaces that cannot be adequately sanitized
  • Food services
